UK-based homebuilder Lovell has teamed up with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to build a £53M housing development near Chorley, Lancashire, UK.

The new development at Clayton-le-Woods will be built on land bought from the HCA. The property will feature 220 new homes, including 198 homes for open market sale and 22 affordable starter homes.

The homes for open market sale will be available in a mix of 18 two-bedroom, 118 three-bedroom, 67 four-bedroom and 17 five-bedroom configurations.

The new homes will incorporate solar panels to lower carbon emissions, and will make use of reclaimed waste materials wherever possible. The site will include pond areas, more than an acre of village-green style public open space, footpaths and cycle ways.

Lovell regional managing director, Nigel Yates, said: “The Chorley location gives residents access to some stunning scenery on their doorstep while also providing superb transport connections across Lancashire and beyond.

“Our house styles have been designed with a variety of buyers in mind, from families to young professionals, while our starter homes will help first-time purchasers take their initial step on to the housing ladder.”

Construction work is expected to start in mid-2017, subject to planning permission, and be completed in 2023. The first homes are expected to be up for sale in early 2018.
