UAE-based real estate developer Kleindienst Group has announced a new AED2.5bn ($680m) underwater luxury vessel resort at Cityscape Global in Dubai.
The resort, known as The Floating Venice, is located in The World islands, 4km offshore from Dubai.
Touted to be the world’s first underwater luxury vessel resort, the Floating Venice will have a capacity to accommodate up to 3,000 guests per day.
The floating resort will feature accommodation, restaurants and recreation facilities divided over four decks, one of which will be immersed into water.
Guests will reach the resort by boat, seaplane or helicopter to the main Piazza San Marco where they can check-in at the underwater lobby.
The Floating Venice will feature 414 cabins, 24 pools, 12 restaurants and bars which provide a number of entertainment options, three of which are underwater giving spectacular vistas of the dazzling marine life.

Construction of the Floating Venice, which will have a lifespan of at least 100 years, is expected to commence during the first quarter of 2018 with completion scheduled by the fourth quarter of 2020.
