Dallas-based development firm KDC is set to start work on a new office building as part of a new $200m West Love mixed-use project near Dallas Love Field Airport, Texas.

The office building will form a key element of the West Love development, which will be spread out on 37 acres between Maple Avenue and Forest Park Road.

The building will cover an area of 150,000 sq ft, featuring structured parking and offering views of Love Field and downtown Dallas.

Apart from the new office, the development will include two Starwood hotels, 368 apartment homes and 65,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant space that will be built in the initial phase of the project. The later phase of the project will involve the construction of an additional 750 apartments.

Work has already started on a 224-room, dual-branded Aloft and Element hotel, which is being developed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Atlantic Hotels Group and Civitas Capital Group. It is scheduled to be completed in December.

The residential and retail elements of the project will be developed by Highridge Partners and affiliates, with work slated to be completed in mid-2017.
