Jackson Healthcare, a US-based healthcare staffing firm, has broken ground on a project to expand its corporate headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The firm’s headquarters will be expanded into an Italian Renaissance campus with a piazza similar to the streets of Italy, and will accommodate 1,400 new associates.

The $100M project will include the construction of an eight-storey office building covering an area of 24,805 sq m and a 3,623 sq m amenities building. The amenities building will feature a gym, indoor pool and restaurant for associates.

The enlarged campus will cover an area of 51,097 sq m, which includes the existing 16,723 sq m headquarters and a newly-purchased building on campus.

Shane Jackson, Jackson Healthcare president, said: "We are blessed with a company of dedicated associates who put others first and want to improve the delivery of patient care. In return, we are creating facilities that will make coming to work even more enjoyable and benefit their quality of life for years to come."

The project has been designed by Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio, Architecture + Interior Design (RJTR). Choate Construction will serve as the general contractor.

Construction work is anticipated to be complete in December 2018.
