Galliford Try Partnerships and Trafford Housing Trust and London & Quadrant (L&Q) have established a joint venture (JV) – Heath Lane Farm – to deliver a £100m housing development in Partington in Greater Manchester.

Heath Lane Farm, set up as a site-specific special purpose vehicle, will construct approximately 600 homes at the site on Heath Farm Lane, Partington.

The house-building project will feature a mix of homes, including one to five-bedroom houses and apartments.

Of these, about 500 homes will be allocated for private market sale through Galliford Try’s Linden Homes brand and Trafford Housing Trust’s Laurus Homes.

Galliford Try Partnerships North West regional managing director Brendan Blythe said: “In recent years, the Partington area has under gone extensive investment and we look forward to using our expertise in delivering high quality, sustainable housing to rejuvenate the area and create a thriving, high quality community.”

Work on a consultation process has now started and a planning application will be submitted once the consultation is complete. Pending receipt of planning approval, the development is expected to commence on site in 2018.
