Commercial property developer Eshton has announced plans for a £45m project to add nearly 600,000 sq ft extension to its Burnley Bridge scheme in Lancashire, UK.

Sprawling over an 80-acre site, the project is located at Junction 9 of the M65. It includes Burnley Bridge and Titanium Park and offers an opportunity for businesses to secure custom-built accommodation of up to 135,000 sq ft.

Eshton is planning to expand the scheme with new space on a 32-acre site south of the M65 carriageway, next to the A679 Accrington Road.

Dubbed Burnley Bridge South, the extension will offer a mix of warehousing and industrial accommodation tailored to meet occupier requirements.

Eshton will construct six units totalling 600,000 sq ft; however, the firm said a bespoke building with a footprint of over 500,000 sq ft could be accommodated.

Eshton managing director James Chapman said: “Burnley Bridge South is part of Eshton’s vision to expand Burnley’s business park presence on the M65 and demonstrates the firm’s ongoing commitment to investing in Burnley.”

The development project will create nearly 1,300 new jobs.
