CPB Contractors and its alliance partners have reached contractual close with Main Roads Western Australia to deliver the Roe 8 project in Perth, Australia.

The alliance partners who will help CPB in the project include Georgiou, WA Limestone, GHD, Aecom and BG&E.

The AUD330M ($250M) project involves the design and construction of a 5km extension of Roe Highway. Plans include an interchange at Kwinana Freeway, five further interchanges and flyovers, as well as a top‐down construction bridge over part of Roe Swamp.

CPB Contractors managing director Roman Garrido said: “The Roe 8 project will enhance Perth’s road network operations, improve safety and reduce congestion.

“Working closely with Main Roads Western Australia, our experienced alliance is focused on delivering value for money, mitigating construction impacts and achieving the project’s planned operational, community and environmental benefits through innovative design.”

CPB Contractors said that the contract is projected to generate revenue of about AUD235M ($177M) for the company over the next three years. Construction work is anticipated to be wrapped up by early 2020.
