Stream Data Centers, a developer and operator of data centres, has started construction on a ready-to-fit data centre in Plano, Texas.
The 13,471 sq m facility will be located in the Legacy Business Park, the master-planned, office campus and mixed-use development in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, and will be the company’s 10th facility in Texas.
When completed, the facility will offer a purpose-built, structurally enhanced, powered shell data centre expandable to 24,619 sq m, and two 20MW utility feeds from two separate substations.
Furthermore, it will offer robust and redundant fibre connectivity with four diverse fibre routes, and 24x7 on-site security with perimeter security fencing.
Stream Data Centers’ co-managing partner Rob Kennedy said: "The North Texas market continues to attract corporate data centre users and cloud providers looking for large blocks of space in a safe location with access to superior connectivity and reliable power.
"This data centre will provide enterprise users and large-scale cloud providers with an attractive wholesale option in one of the fastest-growing markets in the country."
