Construction work has begun on the $105m Two Light Apartments project in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

The project will feature 300 luxury residential units across 18 floors atop six floors of parking and commercial space. In addition, the new property will also include a 499-space garage.

The new building comes following the opening of the 25-storey One Light building at 13th Street and Walnut. The One Light tower, which opened in the end of 2015, features 315 luxury units.

Both the projects have received 25-year property tax abatements on the added value of the developments.

Two Light Apartments is anticipated to open in 2018.
