Work on the £150m redevelopment of the Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield, London is set to commence in early 2016 after receiving planning consent from Enfield Council.

The project will be designed by architects IBI Group, TB&A and Thomasons. The Integrated Health Projects joint venture between Sir Robert McAlpine and Vinci will be the main contractor.

The project will include the construction of a five-storey hospital featuring an urgent care centre, inpatients, eight theatres, day surgery, outpatient ambulatory care zone, imaging, diagnostics, as well as supporting facilities.

Enabling works have already started, with the healthcare building expected to be completed in mid-2018.

In addition, IBI Group has designed new housing and a new school in the area, as well as allowed for the future development of a new energy centre and multi-storey car park.
