Japanese tire manufacturer, Bridgestone, has unveiled plans to build two new manufacturing plants in Thailand.

One plant will produce new aircraft tires, while the second will produce retread aircraft tires.

According to Bridgestone, its aircraft tire solutions business combines products, such as new and retread tires, with services to deliver solutions for the issues faced by both aircraft manufacturers and airlines.

Both plants will involve an investment of about JPY15bn ($150M) and are scheduled to commence production in December 2019.
