BMT Group’s subsidiary BMT Fluid Mechanics has been awarded a contract by Aurecon to serve as the wind engineering consultant for The Tower project at Dubai Creek Harbour.
The $1bn project will have between 18 to 20 upper floors featuring a hotel with restaurants, function rooms, interior garden space and an observatory deck.
At the top of the tower The Pinnacle Room will offer 360-degree views of the city and will serve as a beacon of light at night — the lighting system will evoke the features of a flower bud.
The Tower has been designed by architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava and is being developed by Emaar Properties.
Engineering consultant Aurecon has been selected by Calatrava to collaborate on a range of design and technical features for the project.
