BAM Bouw en Techniek has been selected for the construction of the Collection Building for Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The €43M contract was awarded by the Municipality of Rotterdam on behalf of Stichting Collectiegebouw.
Designed by MVRDV architects, the mirror-clad building will house a public art depot and will form the entrance to the Museum Park.
The facility will be 39m high and cover a floor area of 15,000 sq m.
According to BAM, the depot will provide a solution for the flooding that Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen has been struggling with in recent years.
