Balfour Beatty JV wins $383m residential project contract in Hong Kong

Gammon Construction, an equal stake joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Jardine Matheson, has won a contract worth HKD3bn ($383.5m) to build residential project in Hong Kong. 

The project will include the construction of eight medium rise residential blocks and four houses with a two-level basement overlooking Tai Po’s Tolo Harbour in Northern Hong Kong, on behalf of Great Eagle Group.

In order to execute the project, Gammon Construction will leverage the latest technology including 3D scanning and Building Information Modelling (BIM) to generate and manage vital project data to enhance construction efficiencies.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019. It will create about 1,000 jobs during peak construction.
