Developer Commercial Estate Group (CEG) has secured planning consent for its office development in the London Borough of Ealing.

The new Grade A office will cover an area of 15,794 sq m, and is expected to be the first major office development in Ealing for about a decade.

The project, which will also include transport and cycling upgrades, will entail an investment of about £50M.

CEG’s head of commercial development Nick Lee said: “Despite the Brexit uncertainty, we are confident that Ealing offers a fantastic investment opportunity, due to the arrival of Crossrail and the fact that it doesn’t have the office stock to capitalise on the significant enquiries in the market place.

“Our proposals will deliver Ealing’s first new Grade A office space in nearly a decade, enabling it to effectively compete with the West End as a prime business location.”

Demolition work is expected to begin in April. The project is expected to lead to the creation of up to 2,300 construction and permanent jobs.
