UK-based developer Ashfield Land has announced that contractor ISG has started site clearance and demolition work on its £100M office project in England, UK.

The 14,864 sq m development, to be named ‘The Approach’, will occupy a site off Hunts Ground Road, immediately east of Bristol Parkway Station.

According to Ashfield Land, ‘The Approach’ will benefit from excellent rail connectivity, and a new link road with access to the M32, which is currently under construction. Bristol’s new Metro Bus will also pass the site.

Ashfield Land director James Digby said at the formal start of site clearance and demolition: “Today is about bringing ‘The Approach’ another step closer and readying the site for redevelopment. It’s a major milestone and means we have real momentum as we look to move forward into construction and, ultimately, providing a top quality occupier with a new home here in Bristol.”

The project, approved by South Gloucestershire Council in 2016, is expected to create 2,000 jobs in the region.
