Wates secures contract for office building in London
25 January 2012Wates Construction Limited has secured a contract from Development Securities for the construction of office space in Hammersmith Grove, West London, UK.
Hammersmith Grove office project will see the development of 275,000 square feet of office space. The entire project has been staged in different phases. The phase I will see the development of 110,000 square feet of prime office space as well as 6000 square feet of cafes, restaurants and public space. The work is scheduled for completion in early 2013. Development Securities has secured forward funding for the project from Scottish Widows Investment Property Partnership Trust (SWIPPT). SWIPPT in October 2011 has granted £50 million ($78.68 million) for phase I. Leatherhead, UK-based Wates operates as a contractor and builds education, prisons, local authority frameworks, heritage, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
