VELUX launches new series of Roof Window
31 January 2012Denmark-based manufacturer of skylights and roof windows VELUX Group has unveiled a new series of roof windows that enhance daylight, energy efficiency, adaptation and comfort in roof windows.
The VELUX Thermo Technology adds to the insulation properties of the VELUX series. It facilitates a u-value of 1,2 for standard roof windows. The new series features a larger pane area that enhances the passive solar gains during summer and brings in 18% more sunlight into the building and features slimmer sashes and frames, which makes it more elegant. The new roof windows escalate the standards for optimized energy balance and energy efficiency. The series will continue to boast unique pane variants and decoration of the VELUX series in order to minimize overheating during summer. The new series has also retained the ventilation flap of the original VELUX series that maintains proper ventilation and facilitates free flow of fresh air even with closed windows and ensures superior indoor climate. The series comes with a new multi-level installation bracket, which allows faster installation and also permits installation at two different levels in the roof, namely standard and flush. In flush installation, windows are installed 40 mm deeper in the roof, which adds to the aesthetic appeal and energy efficiency aspects of the building. The electrical VELUX roof windows and components consist of advanced VELUX INTEGRA control pad that promotes advanced and user-friendly indoor climate control. The entire range of products of VELUX complies with the stringent standards of quality and performance.
