Thumbs Up to extend its Bury plant in UK

UK-based Plastic products manufacturer Thumbs Up is expanding its manufacturing unit at Dumers Lane in Bury.

The company has awarded a multi-million pound construction contract to Wates Construction. The project involves a 40,000 square feet extension at Bury factory. The construction work is scheduled to begin later this month and it would be completed in September 2010.

Richard McGuinness, spokesman, Thumbs Up was reported stating that the new unit will enable the company to manufacture and launch its planned new product lines over the next three years.

Thumbs Up (UK) Ltd is a developer and worldwide distributor of house wares, gardenware and storage boxes. The company serves distributors, wholesalers, independent retailers, chain stores, mail order as well as many web stores. Its product range includes giftware, novelty items, toys, gadgets and technology.
