Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport in Florida undergoes renovation

Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport in Escambia County, Florida has completed 98% of the $35 million terminal expansion project and will commence a new phase of renovation.
The terminal expansion project began in August 2008 with Greenhut Construction as the general contractor. The project was financed with airport revenue bonds and federal grants.
With 98% of the project being complete, Greenhut will commence a new $4.2 million phase of improvements on 1 October 2010. This new phase of improvement project, financed out of the airport’s annual operations budget, covers new landscaping, signage, flooring and bathrooms. Greenhut has also completed $18 million expansion of the rental car service area.
The Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport, owned and operated by the City of
Pensacola, has one passenger terminal consisting of 12 gates.
