Malthus secures $48 million contract from Oslo Lufthavn, Gardermoen

Norway-based Malthus has been awarded a contract worth NOK270 million ($48.4 million) with Oslo Lufthavn, Gardermoen for the establishment of accommodation camps for the construction of the terminal at the main airport of Norway.

Malthus, in collaboration with ISS Camp Services, will be responsible for catering and accommodation during the development. Malthus will establish buildings and ISS will maintain operation of facilities. Additionally, the company will be responsible for the preparation of infrastructure including parking areas for construction camps, as well as operation of the parking areas and roads. The project work comprises of 660 rooms, which will be constructed in two different locations at Gardermoen. The two camps will feature cafeteria, lounge and private welfare building. The facility also includes a lounge and lobby while all guest rooms will have access to television and the internet. Camp North is expected to be ready by 1 June 2011 and Camp South is slated to be ready in mid-2012. The two accommodation camps will be in operation until the development is completed in 2017.
