Kier celebrates start of Eastpoint Conference Centre project in UK

The new three-story development in Southampton features 3,770 square meters of training and conference space, meeting rooms for community groups, a social club and a restaurant area. The new purpose built facility is located within the grounds of the existing Eastpoint Centre, which has occupied an old school building since its conversion to community use 26 years ago. The current premises of the Eastpoint Centre will remain in operation until the new building is unveiled in mid-2011. On 17 May 2010, following the OJEU tender process, KIER were awarded the contract to construct the new Eastpoint Centre building.
