Hill International to work on $1bn German mixed-use project

Hill International has secured a contract from Unibail-Rodamco to deliver project management and site supervision services for a €960M ($1.02bn) mixed-use development in Hamburg [pictured], Germany.

The new development, known as Uberseequartier Sud, will be the centrepiece of HafenCity in Hamburg. It will feature 14 buildings, comprising 1,150 hotel rooms, residential, entertainment and office facilities.

The property will also house a cruise terminal, a below grade light rail metro, and interconnected retail space with 200 stores. The buildings will meet Gold BREEAM specifications.

Hill’s project management group vice president Jeffrey Sujar Blanco said: “This is one of the largest developments in Europe and a landmark project in Germany. We are extremely excited to be part of such an iconic project.”
