23 January 2012

Caterpillar has launched three new models in the Cat F Series Backhoe Loader range, 416F, 420F and 430F, which features new engine, refined hydraulics, redesigned linkage and easier maintenance.

The three new units are centre-pivot machines featuring significant design enhancements, including a new Cat C4.4 engine that meets Tier 4 Interim emissions standards, improved lift capacity, more bucket breakout force and increased backhoe control. The 416F backhoe loader is equipped with a nominal operating weight of 6,750kg, dig depth of 4,350mm, and net power of 65kW. The 420F backhoe loader features a nominal operating weight of 6,895kg, dig depth of 4,350mm, and net power of 69kW. The 430F backhoe loader has a nominal operating weight of 7,125kg, standard dig depth of 4,690mm, and net power of 81kW. The new F Series models use a composite fuel tank that resists rust and reduces condensation, and a new hydraulic tank incorporates a suction strainer and a larger, replaceable, cartridge-type filter. The new hinged cooling pack improves service access, as do new engine side panels that require no tools for removal.
