Atrium to build vinyl extrusion facility in Texas
Published: 03-Sep-2010
Atrium Companies, a manufacturer of vinyl and aluminium windows and patio doors in US, is planning to build a new vinyl extrusion facility in Texas.
Atrium has entered into a new lease agreement for a 120,000 square feet manufacturing facility in Greenville, Texas, just 50 miles east of Dallas. The facility is expected to serve Atrium’s growing vinyl extrusion needs in support of its window and patio door manufacturing growth plans.
The company is likely to begin operations in December 2010 and will initially employ 20 people at the new facility, with expansion planned in near future. Having a state of the art facility, centrally located in the US, will facilitate Atrium to increase the level of in-sourced vinyl extrusion availability at its manufacturing locations throughout the US. Once this facility becomes fully operational, the company intends to internally supply most of its vinyl extrusion needs.
Atrium currently operates three vinyl extrusion facilities that are located throughout North America, and the additional capacity of the new Greenville facility will help support Atrium’s overall growing vinyl window production demand.
