16 January 2013

Adolfson & Peterson Construction (A&P), a US-based construction company, has secured a contract from New Belgium Brewing Company to build a new $175 million East Coast brewing facility in Asheville, North Carolina.

Pursuant to the contract, the new brewery will be developed on an 18-acre brownfield site along the French Broad River in Asheville. The proposed facility will have an area of 150,000 square feet and will double the company's brewing capacity to almost 1.5 million barrels a year.

The construction work on the facility will commence in early 2013, with completion is planned for early 2015. The construction of the facility will span for two years and will create about 350 construction jobs in the region. Once operational, the facility is expected to create approximately 150 permanent jobs.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is engaged in providing construction management, design-build and general contracting services to both public and private clients. The company has offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas and Washington.
